Are You a Good Girl?
Share
A question to sit with.
Part of growth is recognizing what things you're currently doing that go against the future version of yourself you want to become.
You already know when you're out of alignment. You're just skilled at the mental gymnastics it takes to justify continuing to do those things.
Being "good" in actions is arbitrary.
Doing good things, and being a good girl… are very different.
So what does it mean to YOU - to be a "good girl?"
Does it mean getting up earlier to have a quiet moment with yourself before the world pulls you into its orbit?
Does it mean choosing water over a glass of wine?
Does it mean pushing yourself out of your comfort zone just a little bit - to have a little fun?
I think part of the process of 'becoming HER' is listening deeply to that little voice that squeaks up whenever you're being "bad" (and when I say "bad" - remember that good and bad are completely subjective. Bad in this context is referring to the things that go in the opposing direction to the actions that SHE wants to be.)
You know the voice?
When you reach for another coffee and pause momentarily before ordering… "should I? I've already had a cup today and I can feel my anxiety bubbling up…" fuck it. You order another.
What happens?
Exactly. What. You. Expected.
Because you KNEW it… before you ordered.
And regardless of what you DO choose…The choices are neither inherently right or wrong… they are just that: choices.
In every single moment - you are given the blessing to choose the next right thing for you…
So… are you a good girl? Or a bad girl?
