About

lights lighter. darks darker.

Your life is a work of art, not an equation yet to be solved.

My cousin Randal Roberts, a painter in Denver, once told me that art is as simple as making the lights lighter and the darks darker. It stuck with me, because it applies everywhere. Life is an experience of opposites.

I know exactly what the darkness looks and feels like. I was the eldest daughter in a house that didn't protect me. I learned to say yes because "no" wasn't safe. When you can't control your home life, you control whatever you can. So I created chaos that only I could control.

I was a bad girl. Not a bad person: I just kept doing things I knew wouldn't serve me. The little devil and angel wrestled, and the devil is strong af.

Then, in a conversation with my therapist about boundaries (spoiler: I needed them), it hit me. It was time to be a good girl.

Not good as in obedient, or performing for anyone. Good as in finally listening: to myself, and to the people who truly care about me. Then acting on it.

That's what Good Girl Drip is. Mantras for the woman who refuses to be defined by her darkness, but also refuses to pretend it never happened. Every piece holds both: the light and the shadow, the tenderness and the rage, the healing and the humor.

Good girl isn't a rule. It's a choice you make in every moment: to do the next right thing for you.

So, what does good mean to you?
